Cellulite is most commonly found on the hips, thighs and buttocks but may also appear on the abdomen, breasts or upper arms, all areas that can be treated.

Local anaesthetic minimises pain during the procedure, although there may be a moderate degree of discomfort during the treatment of specific areas. The injection of local anaesthetic may cause a stinging sensation before numbing takes place. If you find the procedure uncomfortable, further local anaesthetic can be administered.

Following treatment, the area can be red, warm, tender and swollen for the first few days as healing occurs. Occasionally, there may be some altered sensation, numbness or tingling within the area; this sometimes takes a few days or weeks to settle.

Some light bleeding is normal after the procedure. A dressing will be applied and should be kept in place for 24 hours. If bleeding occurs, apply gentle pressure — occasionally, a fresh dressing may be needed.
The treatment is very effective, though results can vary, and some cellulite may remain. Further sessions can be arranged if required.
